We want to promote personal development of your children to prepare them as best we can for the challenges that lie ahead in life. Our staff is comprised of Associate, Bachelors and Master level teachers with five years to forty years of experience teaching at the Early Childhood level.
When it comes to your children, nothing less than the highest standards will do! Our childcare center provides a safe environment for your child to explore his or her full potential. If you're looking for a child care center that meets these stringent demands, look no further!
While Children’s Development Center has always taken the health and safety of our center, children, and staff very seriously, we understand it is of the utmost importance for families to know their children are attending a clean and safe childcare center this year. With many new regulations put in place by our governing agency of the Department of Early Education and Care, we felt it was important to share all the new procedures for our families to feel safe and comfortable sending their children to school each day.
All staff are required to wear freshly laundered facemasks and long sleeve button up smocks each day.
During mealtimes and diaper/toileting times, staff are required to wear disposable synthetic gloves which are changed between each child.
Staff are required to sign in via a screening process each day to ensure they are healthy and able to care for children. Any staff member presenting any COVID-19 symptom will be sent home to be tested for COVID and must obtain a negative COVID test to return to work.
All children two years and older are required to wear face masks while inside the center and are less than six feet from their peers. We work with both families and children on when is an appropriate time to wear a mask and teach the children how to remove and put on their masks.
Children are more than welcome to take a “mask break” at any point during the day. Masks are not worn during outside play, snack/mealtime or during nap. During these times, children are kept six feet apart to ensure social distancing rules are met.
All staff, children, and families must follow Massachusetts state laws for traveling outside of the state.
Updates to Sick Policy:
Any child presenting a symptom of COVID-19 must remain home from childcare for 72 hours after all symptoms have subsided, and the pediatrician must be contacted to decide whether or not the child should be tested for COVID, or if the pediatrician can rule out COVID by finding an alternate diagnosis.
Staff are required to clean the classroom, classroom materials, and toys three times per day. Prior to opening, staff arrive to clean the classroom and toys and set up the room before children enter. During rest time, staff once again clean all classroom furniture and toys. Upon closing, staff clean the room and toys once more before heading home for the day. After all children and staff have left the center, a professional cleaning crew enters the facility to complete a deep clean every weeknight.
If you have any further questions about the updates to our daily routines and procedures due to the impacts of COVID-19, please feel free to call or email us at any time!
We would like to extend an invitation to come and take a tour of our facility and meet our staff! We have a bright and open facility with six classrooms ranging from Infant all the way to Pre-Kindergarten! Please come see our large outdoor space which is separated into three playgrounds to allow ample play time for all ages! Also, we have an oversized indoor play area which is used as our "gym" so the children can get plenty of gross motor development even when the weather does not comply!
Call or email at anytime to book a tour with us. Tours are being offered virtually or after operating hours to ensure the health and safety of our students and staff.
Safety is our top priority. We do everything to ensure your child is safe while in our care. Therefore, we have a security system located at our front entrance and our rear entrance is always locked. When you arrive to our center, there is a key pad and a door bell. If you are a visitor, please ring the door bell and an educator will get to you as soon as possible. If you enroll in our program, your family will be given a specialized pin code which can be changed at any given time to ensure the safety and well being of all the children in our center.
